Beliefs
We believe that humans were created by and in the image of God. We believe that God created the heavens and the earth and all life (Genesis 1:1, John 1:3). We believe that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). We believe that all scripture is divinely inspired by God and can be practically applied in the lives of all believers in Christ (2 Timothy 3:16). We believe that holy men of God were moved by the Holy Spirit to write the words of Scripture (2 Peter 1:21). We believe in the Trinity as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Luke 1:34-35, John 14:16-17, Romans 8:14-15). We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and all who believe on Him are redeemed by His shed blood (John 3:16-18, John 14:6). We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of Jesus Christ and His ascension into Heaven (Hebrews 10:4-14, 1 John 2:2). We believe that salvation is a loving gift of God’s grace and those who put there trust in Jesus Christ are forgiven of their sins and are born into the family of God through the work of the Holy Spirit (Romans 10:9-10, Ephesians 2:8). We believe that our spiritual duty is to walk humbly before God and to use our bodies as instruments of righteousness that we might honor God in our everyday living (Romans 6:13, Galatians 5:16-23). We believe in service to the world as instructed by Jesus in the Great Commission to go into the entire world and make disciples (Matthew 28:18-20).
